    perception acadia 280

Xmas came early for my 16year old, just picked up a perception acadia 280. Does anyone know how they rate on the water. He is an entry level kayaker so Hopefully this little rig will fit the bill.

There are suposed to have been evolved out of the minow....which has a long standing good rep and small yak.

Reasonably stable, reasonably quick and quite manoverable.

    I want one .

I just noticed... townsville........um....... don't let him in the salt with it.......there are potentilay snappy handbags even in the Ross not far from railway estate.

He should be OK in the weirs though........there havn't been any skiers taken ... yet.

    cheers

    Thanks guys,

Oldboot, we've had it in the weirs and she goes really well, very manoeuvrable.

Weirs and dams are about all he is going to be doing in it, as you said too many snappin handbags up here to be playing "I'm a chew toy".

Thanks again for you input guys, much appreciated

I've got one. I'm 44yrs old and find it very comfortable and it paddles very well for it's size. I'm still developing the yak for fishing but I'm extremely happy with it.

Thanks davo, the young fella has been ripping up and down the weirs here after xmas, although he decided to keep it dry while we had all the rain...

He also has looked at the fishing angle from it, I think it will be pretty good for it..

You'd have to be able to pull something from under those lillypads down near riverway...... apart from turtles of course.......unless you have some indigenous background then they are fair game too.

    cheers
Its the details, those little details, that make the difference.
