    The bank manager (wife) has given me $600 to buy a fish finder/sounder, any advice??

    Probably not the best advice you will get, Furuno 5100 is a good unit, lowrance might make a flasher one for that money.

    Are you going Colour Danny? I have a Furuno 4100 and its does me fine, though there are a few nce colour ones on the market, look around though.
    And they are right, keep your wife, mine allocated 450 LoL ;p

    Anyone know anything about Eagle, apparently the low end of Lowrance.

    I think the eagle units are good. $700-750 will get you the X515 lowrance. I was allowed $700 (lowrance) and spent $1060 (Furuno)

    I have a furuno 4100 for sale at 350dollars but it only has a transducer for a electric motor
