I don't muck about with quality.
Buy quality once and it's there forever.
Quality usually does mean a higher capital expenditure but seeing as it's for a worthwhile cause (ie me sitting in the tinny watching the world go by) I say hang the expense.
For me the massive expenditure would still be cheap at double the price if you consider the benefits I get out of it.
4" Alvey.....$15 from someones garage sale.
8lb mono....$12
Snyderglas rod (the expensive bit but handmade by me, myself and I)....$40
No lures. Just a yabbi pump.....$10 (same garage sale as the Alvey)
And a few sinkers in the good old plastic pill bottle and last but not least some hooks and swivels in the 2 tier round Alvey bakelite tacklebox....$22 (new )
All up around the $100 mark for all types of fishing from the tinny.
My tiny tinny cost less then what some of you fella's spend on a rod by the sounds
Yep, I'm a tight a-se
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good
