63 cm tailor from noosa

Both these tailor taken on Sliders - 5.5kg from Rainbow and 6.2kg from south of Teewah. The 6.2 pic was taken from video, thus the quality.
Have a few others, but would need to scan first.

went out for late one with my mate condon for a crack at a big tailor ,must have forgot to tell him i was suppose to get the big one ! and he pulls in this thing 75cm and just over 7 1/2 POUNDS, thanks again to all who took the time out to post there tailor pic's, cheers.

excellent tides and conditions last night ,sneaked out with my mate nev ,best fish were his 67cm hes holding up cleaned ,and my 2 x 67 cm and a 66cm, i had braid on and blooded my new WILSON 10 ft RLF30- had the best fights strong fish ,head shaking like crazy ,jumping , had one of my all time most fun sessions just great ,cheers.

man im spuwing i lost that big stonker on the weekend, it was bigger than any of the tailor pics put up so far. dont they go hard hay. i dont think i will hook a nother one like that again.

Caught in a canal at Soveriegn Islands, GC on Tailor strips, went 70cm.

Well, I didnt think tailor got that big!! nice fish. Are they still good eating at that size?

Funny thing with tailor, the bigger they are the better they are to eat IMO.
My pb is 10lb cleaned, caught in May this year, one morning about 15 mins after sun-up, suprisingly. Poor sucker was in the wrong place at the wrong time..... No pic of this one unfortunately.
Most notable thing about larger tailor is the size of their heads!
I subscribe to the large slab of tailor/mullet for the larger fish theory, leaves pilchards for dead IMO. I'm happy using either snelled hooks 10/0 gama suicide with 3/0 'keeper' hook above, or a gang of 3 x 7/0 VMCs. 3 x 5/0 gama gangstars for the smaller versions.
Poor mans game fish? Flippin' oath!
Pic is of a nice feed caught in early June this year. These fish are a distant memory, I think they are all up at Fraser atm!

This one caught just north of waddy one night in april . Kept hooking up
with strips of flesh on a gang then being spat out. Changed to a sharp live bait hook with a big hunk of dart flesh. 80 pound leader chewed through just as he was beached. very lucky .
