Thread: The Coorong

    The Coorong

    Folks,

I've been hearing some disturbing reports about this region, and am interested in gathering thoughts, photos, and any other details regarding what's being done in SA to work on the problem.

I did a lot of my "young boating" there, and want to go back, but I've been told it's nearly dead.

I believe there is an ongoing talkfest regarding the Murray River, but it's just not in an area that enough voters care about, it seems. It's World Heritage listed, so why is this being allowed?

Anyway, thoughts and info would be appreciated, as I might be attending a policy breakfast (keep being hassled to get involved in Politics, but I'm not sure I want to) on Saturday, and intend bringing this up.

Please keep comments apolitical. I'm in this for the species, people!

If you want to keep any info private, pm me and I will keep info Mum.

    Cheers and thanks in advance,

    Tim

Plenty of good fishing still there, mate. Hasn't changed too much, its more the lower lakes that are copping the brunt. Caught plenty of big Mullet, Salmon trout, flathead and a few schoolies there last year!
