New to Fly Fishing

Hi all,

I haven't fished since I was a kid (around 30 years ago), and have recently "got the bug" again. I was always fascinated by fly fishing, but thought it was only for Trout in cold areas. Now that I have discovered otherwise, I am very keen to give it a go. I have recently done a casting course with Nial Logan, and got myself a TFO rod/reel etc. Are there any groups that meet in the Brisbane area, or how do I meet up with people that might like to team up for some fishing/fly tying etc.? None of mates are into fishing, so I am a bit of a "loner" on this one (hope I don't sound too desperate!!). Fresh or salt, either is good, just looking for a fishing buddy I guess.

Hey Darren , you should Google saltwater fly fishing , you never know what you might find . Nial is a good teacher and no doubt will have sent on the correct path. There are a couple of clubs near by also
