    Re: Daiwa Sol 4000

I bought 1 and it's attached to my S10. Extremely pleased with it's performance. Last monday we caught 2 biggish snapper with this setup.
Specs for this reel are :-
    4.9:1 ratio
    Retrieve speed/crank 86cm/33.9"
    Reel weight 365g/12.9oz
    6 Ball bearings including 3CRBB
    Digigear
    Hard Bodyz
    Washable
    Air Bail
    Also comes with spare spool.
    0.3mm 10lb 300yds/270m
    0.32mm 12lb 260 yds/240m
    0.35mm 14lb 210yds/210m

In saying that, I spooled mine with 30lb 270m Super PE braid with about 30m mono backing.

    Cheers,
    Wags

    Go to this link

    http://www.bass.jp/reel.php?c=reel&m...=4960652699488

then go back to the home page and select the particular reel. (They dont show sols unfortunately so might not be any good for what you want)

Select the reel you are looking for and click on the link above the photos.
All the text is blocked (????????) but there is table at the bottom of each page showing the particular reel specs. Look for the column under the kg in the table.

I'm sure there is better tables around but

    Re: Daiwa Sol 4000

    Hi Guys
How are those new 4000 sols going now. Havn't seen one yet. How is the bigger handle? I have a 3000 luvius and had a 4000 tiera. I found the handle on the 4000 a little small yet it is ok for me on the 3000 luvius. I am looking at replacing the 4000 tiera and I think if the 4000 sol has a larger handle it would be a very comfortable reel to use and matched with the sol smothness and durability would be a top reel

Wayne, I'm absolutely loving the sol 4000. Very comfortable to use and loads of stick as well.

    Cheers.
