Morning all

My son and I are heading over to Curtain Artificial Reef and around the Tangalooma wrecks this afternoon for a couple of days.

It will be the first time there and if anyone has any tips or suggestions for these areas, it will be greatly appreciated. We have a few generic GPS marks for Curtain.

We will probably stay around Mud Is tonight and head over first up tomorrow.

try Fi$hnet thats s not $, they have a GPS date base.
Also there is a $10 book, 500 Hot Fishing Spots from Cairns to Byron.
Its not bad for the money, it will get you in the right direction

if your in the general vicinity of the articifical look at the beach and you will see two white poles indicating the positioning of the reef. its not a big distance from the beach. there will be boats fishing on it for sure. anchoring over night you can just go in close to the beach from the artificial and anchor in about 7 metres, or alternativly the wrecks. hope you get amongst them

fish the curtin 1 1/2 to 2 hours each side of the tide otherwise the current is way to fast to fish properly.
