    good stuff might have to plan a trip,is that mekong catfish also known as basa that is the crap they try selling people in aussie fishshops cheers bdowdy,,brett

    Forget chasing dirty catfish mate.....

    There is many other desirable species over Thailand way........Sailfish,GT's etc...

    Sorry hopefully these photos will work a bit better..
    the photo of the bigger catfish is from a few years ago. And actually Thailand's pelagic fishing has gone down the drain due to longlining, the first fishing damn we went to was owned by a pommy bloke who used to run charters out of phuket, he said these days between the whole fleet they will be lucky to get one sailfish a season. So whats the point of going oversea's to pay money for something that I catch at home whens there s no real luck of getting one?
    Yes the fish you are eating when you buy BASA at the fish shop is Mekong Catfish the big ugly thing whos eyes are on the wrong side of the head.

    Some of the fish on offer at these fishing parks are:

    Alligator Gar
    Barramundi
    Saratoga
    Jungle Perch
    Mekong Catfish
    Redtail Catfish
    Siamese Carp
    Snake Head
    Giant Arraypaima

    So your pretty much certain to catch something when you go!
