mmmmm OK, done the run today.
Couple of issues. the book is not accurate Further, my GPS and the Books GPS are in different datum...
There has obviously been plenty of rain and this was borne out by the one creek I DIDN'T cross. Picture attached.
Took a few side tracks and removed some fauna to get to places that, well didn't get me to where I wanted to go anyway.
The Lookout is fantastic. Facilities along the way are good.
Some interesting tracks that can be by-passed by the softroaders....
In the end, I didn't need recovery, but there is one crossing that will require a second vehicle on standby in case of a tow out. not deep, but ......
I didn't go to Coochin as time ran out and I had to actually go to work.. Greg
Pics attached below are " bogey creek " and the other is another wet area with the track looking up , I had to go BACK up that to get around a no go zone. I did make it, despite slippery conditions and fully inflated tyres. Go the Nissan......
Cheers Phill

Phill,
Tried your "bog hole" today.
Don't Grumbles look impressed
So, after I winched my self out LOL
i was not the only person to need to use the winch, this guy flattened his battery trying to get out and needed my winch as well to drag him out of it.
Not sure if this will work, but a video of the other vehicle flattening his battery with his winch. you can hear the poor winch get slower and slower till it stops.

That sore finger of your's must have affected your memory.
The only time I got stuck, was in front of you down in the slush, and I was able to get out under my own power.
Terry needed to be winched out, and the only other snatching/winching was the other Pajero was pulled up that steep hill.
As you finger heals, I am sure your memory will come back!!!
For those of you that have never been on a 4wd meet and greet, it is a great time and everyone has a fun time.
After the trip, and when the dust settles, the slander and lies start!!!!!!
Its all in fun, and no one takes offence.
We all are out to take the mickey out of each other as much as we can, at every opportunity!!!
The Glass house trip looks like it is shaping up to be a adventurous day.
Graham.
