Platypus sinking braid

Anybody used the platypus sinking braid?

Sounds very interesting reading the platypus propaganda, but how about the real world?

If its any better than Nitlon 4lb then i'm keen... It wasn't even windy today and i was getting massive wind knots.

Keen for an alternative.

So far it looks like not many people use it. hhhhmmmmmmm

I might just have to go out and look for a spool and try it.
Hard to find though as my local shops do not seem to have it

maybe the fact that none of the online tackle stores sell it and no one on here has used it says something about the product?

Don't know what the price is but maybe you're better off just getting a product that you know will do well? The fact that it sinks is not that unique as far as I'm concerned.. most braids are supposed to do that.

If you are keen, maybe give Tackle World in Hervey Bay (http://www.tackleworldhb.com/index.html) a call, if you do a google search for the stuff they come up as having had it as a featured product a while back so they might still stock it. As they don't have an online catalog it's hard to tell.

Its only fairly recently become available. I know the concept was launched at the AFTA show, but from what i hear, stores are only just starting to receive stock now.

Hmm I thought all those more high-end tournament braids are supposed to sink.. saw a couple that mention it anyway.

But I guess they'd be more expensive than this stuff
