Awesome creatures..but they give me the creeps something serious.
I got the email yesterday too.
Do bull sharks grow that big?
I always thought they grew to about 2.5 - 3 metres??
Cheers

In the 4th photo notice he is not sitting on anything but balancing against the weight of the fish, Awesome.
From the look of the 4th photo that thing has a lot of pull...
Do you think that if old mate went limp on purpose and just relaxed and didnt fight it yet was still holding onto the rod would the shark be able to pull him into the water?
that things a , horse whys it in the trailer?
I think that was the one the guy caught in the Brisbane river fishing classic last year.
Monster creature.. I got that email too. Despite it's size it's kind of sad to think it's been killed, would you eat a shark that big ? surely it would be full of mercury and other yuck ?
If men are from Mars, and women are from Venus, politicians must be from uranus ?
Hey everyone I can clarify all the details of this shark for you.
I just thought this clarification would be handy as i also have recieved this as a chain mail with inaacurate details about when it was caught etc.
Angler: Terry Hessey
Length: 2.9m
Weight: 200kg plus. It maxed out the scales.
This shark was caught on the 2nd of December 2007. Its came first in the "Heaviest Bull Shark" category of the Brisbane River Classic.
Regretfully this shark was not returned. We had no idea a fish this large would turn out.
In the spirit of learning from our mistakes the sharking category for the Brisbane River Classic 2008 will have an option to enter photographic entries with an item issued upon registration.
Interestingly enough during the competition Terry also lost another that felt of equal size.
