    Tassie bound.

Going to Tassie fo an extended long week end, any suggestions where would be the best spot to cast a fly, or for that matter must do things.

It will want to be a really extended long weekend. If you head up to derwent bridge (central highlands) you will be able to take your pick of lakes. It will also depend on mode of transport. Arthers lake is a good option, really want a boat. Most of the good lakes are in the central highlands within about 50km. Not called the land of a 1000 lakes for no good reason. Licence will be required.

Depending on where and when in Tassie, many of the central lakes can be fished from the shore (timbered area; small inlets). many rivers hold good stocks. Ask the locals.
