yeah we're pretty lucky up here. I used to do a bit of fishing at Hervey Bay when I was a kid. Used to be plenty of trevally around Picnic island and Little Woody. Mostly little fellas though.

Wish it was mine, it was someone who uses a fishing site in the uk that I use, and he caught it in Kenya last week, 27 kilo.

Golden Trevally caught by my daughter Chynna (with a bit of help from dad) in the Pumicestone passage from our boat just out from the boardwalk. Caught on a yabbie. Don't you love it when your kids outfish you ! Couldn't wipe the smile off her face for days. She still tells the story to her friends.

    Evening,

Caught this morning. 16.3kg and no fingerprint on my left thumb now!!

Got him on a live yellowtail about 2" long, 10kg mono about 20 min to land.

Caught this Golden Trevally on a recent trip to Hervey Bay. It was caught in 15ft on the eastern side of Big Woody island on a 5kg stick with 12lb leader.

It was heart in the mouth stuff. It was released but not sure of how heavy it was.
