    Yamaha 50 HP - Stolen - Woolloongabba

    Hi All,

never thought I would be writing in this department.........

But some #######s have forced my hand.

Over the weekend the 50 hp Yammy 2 stroke tiller steer bolted to the back of my boat decided to go walkabout.

The boat was in the rear yard of my house at Woolloongabba in inner Brisbane and out of sight of passer bys.

The engine is a 2003 model with Electric Start and Power Trim and Tilt.

I will post serial number details shortly for anyone who may work in the industry and who services outbaords to keep an eye out for it.

For anyone on the water or at ramps please keep your eyes peeled for a late model 2 stroke 50hp Yammy.

It has 3 chips to the paint on the cowling, 2 small and one the size of a business card, the chips appear white in colour against the greyish paint of the engine.

Should you see it, please call 0418 758 416 or call the cops asap.

If it is found there will be a decent reward provided.

Thanks for keeping an eye out!

    Regards

    Jim

Geez mate i bet you're gutted.
I've got the same motor in the 06 model and there's a heck of a lot of weight in them - not easy to run off with!
    I'll keep my eyes peeled.

    Cobia Kid,

    Woolloongabba in Brisbane!

Have since bought a brand new engine, and had the nuts welded in place so that the next time someone tries to pinch my motor they will need an oxy torch.

    Thanks for your concern.

    Cheers

    Jim
