I Am Heading Up To Glouceter Island Area For A Couple Of Days. Has Anyone Got Suggestions Where To Fish And What May Be Caught. I Am Staying At The Echo Resort,and Have A 4metre Tinny. Thanks For Any Help.

lots of reef around glouceter island. look for bommies fish heavy handline with a #2 bean & an 8/0 trout hook (fishermans coop in bowen will point you in the right direction) Coral trout spawn is on so have a look on the outside (WEST) of shoals around the change of the tide. Check out the live trout & muddie tank at the coop the stuff dreams are made of. Echo Resort beers were $6 each last time i stopped there so i hope your not thirsty. still some macs about so keep a floater out. A local chart will show Chibassa shoal (CI-BASS-HA) which is towards Bowen from the resort should be a sheltered run if it is a bit windy. poppers work well around the headlands for GT's ....... gods own country you will have fun
