Hey im new to fly fishing im just asking what sort of line and what sort of flies might i need for.

    Trout
    Redfin

Eels (MAYBE) thats if they bite on flies

    Re: Flies

I'm not sure if there is a fish that swims that will not eat a well presented woolly bugger. The colour of the water, the depth and a plethora of other things may determine your choice of colour but my suggestion is to have a reasonable mix of black, brown and olive coloured woolies. I tie them with and without beads, some with tungsten, some with tungsten plus added lead, with short tails, with long tails, with short and long-shanked hooks etc etc. You are only limited by your imagination. The list of flies of choice could go on forever but as a way of getting started, try the woolly bugger and stick at it!

    Re: Flies

    Good day Grimreaperz,
Do most of my fly in theTassie highlands.
Some of my favs would be,
    redtag good alrounder dry
possum fur emergers (the smaller the better) dry
    brown wolly worm wet
All of the above are very productive here in the trout capital of Australia.
    Good luck
    Cheers
    Reidy
