    does anyone know what this species of fish is called.....im guessing it is apart of the toadfish family??Attachment 13873

    Looks like a green sea toad to me. Did you manage to get your hooks out of its jaws?

    Yeah, difficult to tell based on the photo, but I agree with Tunaticer.

    If he's correct, then you would have seen the two big teeth in the top and bottom jaw; not something whose mouth you want to stick your fingers in Got one while fishing off a beach up here one day; was seriously pissed off and angry, nearly chewed through a 3/0 hook...

    Looks like a green toad to me from the photo. I have seen them nail 6 rods in a boat by biting strait through the hooks and no one even felt a thing and they'll hang around until yo catch it or move.
