I couldn't decide where to post this, here or tackle section, more likely to get info here. I have an "STH" lever drag 10/12 fly reel made in Argentina I think. They were in tackle shops a few years back, but you don't see them anymore. Came with 3 clear polycarbonate cartridges to allow easy change of lines.
It seemed like a good idea when I bought it, but the cartridges are junk, they split apart from the compression of the backing.
Has anyone had any experience with these reels? The reel itself seems O.K., just let down by the cartridges. I looked into getting new spools made locally from aluminium, out of the question, too expensive. I'll probably end up binning it, but thought I'd put it to you lot first.
