catch them while you can boys because we wont be allowed to fish for them in the future on the bay.

They are bait at best, pretty good bait though. I dont think I could ever be hungry enough to scale clean and fillet 100 winter whiting.

If there is no bag limit do what you like, I don't care if you have a freezer full as long as they don't end up being dumped.

Where there is a bag limit on a species, it is a in possession limit.
That is you can not bag out in the morning and then go out in the afternoon and bag out again unless you eat them for lunch or give them to your mates or something.
Similarly if you still have three in the freezer from a trip 2 weeks ago and the bag limit is 5 you are really only allowed to catch two this time.
That is the technicality of the law, I do not know how they can possibly police it though.

I don't kill things for fun (well not since I grew up anyway )
I don't waste anything, I don't torture things, I don't throw rubbish in the sea and I don't break the law, I am not going to turn into a politically correct non thinking vegetable just to placate them.

I gave up on them this year....very patchy....

I didn't have much luck this year with the Winter Whiting.

I thought it was quite a poor season diver whiting wise.

We fished off Shorncliffe and Nudgee, and generally found it a very poor season.

Still nice to get out on the water though.
