Barra in the Albert

Brother serviced his motor and went for a run up the Albert this arvo, saw something floating on the surface so investigated. Turned out to be a dead Barra, albeit smelly with a lure hanging out of its mouth, estimated weight 6kg. no phone or camera on the boat , and still cant believe his find.

I have been told people catch barra out of there on the rare accasion so i would believe it,what lure was in its mouth ?

he said soft plastic was going to retrieve it but the smell got the better of him.

One of the local papers had a photo of a barra caught in Aquatic Paradise(Birkdale) the other week out of interest.
