    Re: tweed plastics

    depends on current current
last weekend the current was only about 0.7knts on the surface at a mark near nine mile or thereabouts in 25-30m water. At the bottom is slower as when you drop straight down you soon overtake your lure with light lead and then the wind can make that worse. I tried 3/8oz but it was too heavy for mine. tried 1/6th....too light......1/4oz was just right. I found using my bow mount handy as i could maintain a slow drift over the reef with 1/4oz staying vertical @ 30m. I know others use the cast and hop technique but i just get so many snag ups on this reef if i do that...I guess I'm not that good at guessing how long to pause between hops in 30m of water
