best spot for jewies in the passage?

just wanted to know of any good spots in the northern end of the passage for jewies and what sort of bait or softie i should use.

I have caught a few jewies to 5.5 kg between Caloundra and Donnybrook, but I am not giving any spots away. Best baits are live prawns, peeled banana prawns, live mullet, live pike etc etc. You will need alot of persistence as you will find that the pike eels and sharks will take most of the live baits, and stingrays will take most of the dead baits and live prawns. Even catching the livies can take alot of effort. I have a few spots but they do not always produce, and it can take hours to get enough livies for a session.
