Lake Mac Bass tournament warmup

Went out on Lake Macdonald today with a mate who was keen to fish the place before the upcoming Bass Tournament . I was talking the place up and sure as eggs the fishing was tuff . The Arse fell out of the Barometer around 8.00am and didn't the fish reflect that , we only ended up with 14 fish between us and couldn't break the 50 cm mark that I was talking up so much ( open mouth and insert foot ) the largest going a heartbreaking 48 and 3/4 cm FL , oh well next time stay tuned for upcoming news about Australias first Fly only Bass tournament it' set to be a cracker with heaps of feedback already.
This fish was caught on a vampire tied on a Gamakatsu B10S , fished of a SA StriperIV line over a Loomis GLX 7 weight , in some pretty heavy cabbage

How'd the new electric go Chris? Went to Borumba this morning, should have stayed in bed. Not even a touch and a few bass floating belly up and heaps of bonies dead. Hope it picks up for next weekends comp otherwise I might sneek down to Macca's for a Macbass bugger

Bill , The new 80 lb ST minn kota goes really well , they really have ironed out some of the niggally things that the old riptides had and it is a lot smoother
