Big Cod off Noosa

Finally got my hands on the picture of the big cod one of the guys caught on our company fishing trip earlier this month. It was over 1m as an estimate and was released.

Nice cod black rat i got 1 at the african gutters of hervey bay 1.065m 27.5 kgs and tried for 10mins to get him to swim but no good he was dead i didn't want him to end up skark food so bought him home i shared him with friends and he wasn't as tough as i thought but would'v liked to let him go.....Bob

Great fish, you were lucky to release him, I got one up a couple of years back on 30lb line! some sort of bloody world record, unfortunatly a fight of 40+ mins was too much for the poor old fella I tried for a long time to get him going but I pronounced him dead at the scene
