Stanage Bay - Advice Needed
Hi Guys,
We're planning on going on a road/fishing expedition and are looking at Stanage Bay. Just wondering if any of you have gone in their recently e.g. in the last year or 2 and what the conditions of the road were like and any advice you would have for the area.
Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Woppa

The roads fine. Just a little dusty. If your towing a boat take your time and you won't have any problems. People drive 2wd vehicles in there without a problem.

just been there 2 weeks ago - roads fine a couple of spots a little chopped up but as ian1 says just take your time- biggest hazard would have to be approaching the cattle grids only to find out your going too fast, definately turn a good time to woe.

Re: Stanage Bay - Advice Needed
hey guys, thanks for your advice. we're thinking now of dropping our boat at my parents place at turkey beach, therefore, not having to worry about the dust and stuff with out boat, then getting a charter while we're in there, rather than having to cover our boat to the extreme, as we don't have a full cover and i'm worried about the motor getting full of bull dust.
thanks for your advice. we're thinking of heading up in september, as we have a wedding to attend in mackay and want to make our way back down the coast slowing stopping in at some beautiful spots.
cheers,
mrs. woppa
