yeah that sounds like a good combo marty+jojo.
i already have a twin power 1000 with 4 pound fireline on a raider bream finesse rod and a symetre 4000 with 14 pound livewire on a rod i will be upgrading shortly just looking for a setup in between. have decided on the sol 2500 just gotta look for a rod. From what i know the egrell rods are only really on sale further up north so im unable to check them out. also a little out of my price range i think
I have 4 stradics and 3 sols of various sizes. Both awesome reels,but the sols are prone to rust around the handles, $80 replacement. Havings said that, on my 2500 sol I have caught many dollies and good snapper. I think they are on par but for the stadics faster retrieve of 6.1 on the smaller 3000s etc. Make spinning for macs and tuna a little bit easyier.

I think the Ci4 Stradic is a great option, or spend the extra couple of dollars and get a Sustain. I like Daiwa reels, bot I think the Sol is yesterdays reel.
