Reply With Quotei would have put my money on a bull shark. they will jump out of the water often, get to that size, and may appear silvery/white!! just a guess but.

Went fishing on wednesday night in the broadwater near runaway bay. I was using live hearing for bait trying to score flathed/bream. I cast out rather deep as there seemed to be no action in close when all of a sudden a massive fish jumped out of the water as the drag on my line took off. I let him run a bit and the whole time it was jumping out of the water like a marlin. All on the jetty that night said it was easy 1.5m long with a silvery/white appearence. Well it just kept going till it took all my line and got away. I have never seen anything like this before and have no idea of what it may have been. Any ideas out there?
