Mud Island

Just wondering about camping at Mud Island,
Or if there is an area that you can anchor with cover
from wind or do you just anchor on the side depending
on the wind.
What would be the best boat ramp to launch from (I live on the south side).
And I've noticed on alot of posts about fish being caught at Mud people use
plastics. So far I have not caught anything with plastics, don't know if it's the way
I'm useing them or just not using the right ones.
Any advice would be great.

Doro, I've checked out mud and cant find anywhere to camp on the island , there may be somewhere but I haven't found it yet. The mozzies are bad as well ,

There is a very good anchorage on the NNW side that would be protected calm water in SE wind.

I put in at Wyte Island but security could be a problem if leaving your car overnight. I would fell much safer leaving my car at Wello

Plastics go good at Mud.
