there is camping at the dam check google and you will find the name.
There are two parks close to the dam on the way in. Every thing from tents to fully self contained units and caravans. The first one you come to is mostly for the caravans I think. We always stay at the second park. Great place. We just came back from there on Thursday. The fishing was excellent as usual.

waruma dam is about the same distance away, so if ya get sick of saratoga and bass, ya can try for a barra at waruma!

Hey Lippa, You speak from first hand knowledge of Mulgildie Pub? I grew up there, and drank there!!!! Cant agree more. It's unusual, I didn't know anyone knew of the place. Half way to the two dams, pity about the level in Waruma.

Stay at the 2nd one closest to the dam, you won't be dissapointed.

Not overly sure about the pets at the Big4 (I think not with the wildlife thats about) but campfires are allowed in the allotted camping areas.
