What are the chances of tangling with some of those barra up there towards the end of April ??? ??? Is it too cold or does the dam hold the heat pretty well ??? ???

Hi Dave,
That's getting pretty much towards the end of the season for them. Spring & early summer is best for them but the fish don't just hibernate, they still need to feed so you're always a chance at any time.
I seem to remember some reports of barra captures there after April lasy year.

I'll be up there about that time too.
WE can only try I suppose.

I was wondering the same thing. We were thinking of giving it a go late April/early May to get in some practice before Hinchinbrook in September. Will have to give you a report Dave as to how we go before you get up Hinchy. Cheers for the map.
