Mongrel,
From what I hear some fish are moving but they are far from what you'd call being on fire.... I believe the water level is down & a lack of rain has made the waters gin clear....easy to spook fish in clear water. I'd suggest an evening fish as the sun goes down to a few hours after dark, it's harder to spook fish in the dark 7 they do need to feed sometime.

St Clair.
It is a wonderful bass fishery,i have only spent three days on it,but the quality of fish surely matches any of our Qld fisheries.I cannot wait to revisit it in the future, and if you get the opportunity take it.
All the best,
Oneday.
