Fellow bait drowners and trollers,
Heading for Bundalong on the Ovens in new year. Any suggestions on how best go about catching Yellas or cod?

me from darwin but have fished the ovens now two times and have taken cod twice. Using bait from the bank at dusk got my fish, bardi grubs were the winners. I did use barbless hooks as I was catch and release fishing for these great aussie fish.

the speed boats made it hard to troll.

Did get a follow up on a spinster fly there no hook up or strike but it followed it all the way out.

Hopefully a local might be able to give ya a tip rather than another tourist.

There was a heap of carp up that way...
