fishing for bass around brisbane

hey guys and girls,
i need some info on bass fishing around brisbane, mainly near kholo, i fish with a mate of mine but he catches all the bass, i was woundering if i could get some info on what lures to use, kinds of rods and where to catch them in a river,(eg. banks , in the middle, snags) that sort of thing.

Lures = Spinnerbaits (Bright light colours)
Rod = Anything you can cast accurately with and pull a big bass out of snags with
Where = Snags then Banks

I have found bettle spins on #1/8oz jighead using natural colours works for me and as tight as you can cast into the edges and snags.

hey mate lol you should of toled me that i catch all them lol dw next time ill hand my rod over to u when i hook up. wat u talkin bout newasy last trip up the river you got the first one and it was a pearler

If anyone does canoe fishing for bass within an hour or so from brisbane and doesn't mind a tag along let me know. I've got my own gear and canoe but i'm just looking for a place to start. Uni and work is occupying all week and weekend so i'm restricted to some afternoons on week days (always on mondays and tuesdays but sometimes on wednesdays and thursdays). Thanks for any suggestions or offers.
