Monduran winter barra

Warmer than usual winter weather and water temps in someareas around the 23 degrees has seen some good barra fishing in June and so far this month. The hot spot has been up in the timber opposite the white rocks in about 12ft of water had about 10 fish caught there last week all about 80cm.

wierd weather this winter, certainly! people at the beach yesterday, swimmin and drinkin beer watchin the sunset! not typical winter pattern, but who's complaining when barra are biting and water temps are not reaching their low points as per the norm. are u catching those barra deep in 12 feet, or still working the surface layers? never been to monduran myself. funny enough a cold snap / s w winds can destroy all hopes of continued favourable water almost in a blink of an eye! awoonga has had similar conditions in the previous month, and still barra being caught for those who dare! look out this spring when the 20-25 kg specimens parade themselves!
