If you have a boat under 4m you might go up the back of the dam to launch as the dam can lump up very quickly with the wind. Can be a wet trip back to the ramp! I personally can't justify driving all the way around when it is such a nice scenic boat ride. Just have to keep an eye out for ski boats sceaming past.
