    live fibre rods/blanks

    G'day all.
i am looking at buying or getting built, a livre fibre 10' surf/casting rod, to fish 15kg on the vic. 90 mile beach, fishing for gummy's etc.
Has anyone got one or used one, that can let me know if they are worth the money or not.
    Thanks.

    I've got a Livefibre RLF20.

It is the sweetest rod I've used. You won't be dissapointed.

10 foot sounds a bit short to me for surf casting. Typical surf rods are 12 foot or longer. Also 15 kg sounds pretty heavy for beach fishing. You won't be able to cast it very far. I would have thought 10 kg would be heaps, after all there's nowhere for the fish or sharks to reef you on the beach so its just a waiting game to tire them out. What size fish or sharks do you expect to catch? Finally, the live fibre rods are graphite which will give you better feel but are not as robust as fibreglass, and are gunna be hears more expensive.

Just make sure you know what you are doing before splashing out.
