    Daiwa Heartland Rod

    Hi Guys,

    Does anyone use the Daiwa Heartland rods? I looked at one today 6' 7" long & it seemed quite good.This rod is acutally one that was built for the japanese market & now it is old stock in japan so Daiwa send them out here to be sold.

    Any info good or bad would be apreciated, also what did you pay for it please?

    I've got one. I think it is a 1-3 kg and I use it with a diawa kastor loaded with 4lb braid for soft plastic work chasing bream and flatties. Seems to be a good rod that works well under a fair load (as much as you can put on it with 4lb braid anyway ). I got mine for $99.
