G'day Heath,
The shimano is an aero baitrunner, but the baitrunner lever is hard to engage/disengage but rest of the reels functions are perfect. The Daiwa is a procaster that just needs a general service to keep it in good condition, it's about 2 years old and has had plenty of work.
Go see Shane at Water Tower Bait and Tackle.
His shop is on Manly Rd, Manly at the BP servo.
He has a good honest reputation and is reliable.
Prices aren't to bad either.
Cheers Kev.
Thanks Kev, I'll drop over to see him sometime
this week. Garth.
garth i'm of the same opinion as Heath. Photocopy an enlarged copy of your Reel schematic and try get in the habit of sevicing, cleaning and repairing your own reels.
Its satisfying, rewarding and you know what condition your Reel is in always.
Cheers
