    Popping Rods

    Hi Guys n Gals,

    Do u have any idea what types of popping rods - cheap, affordable, durable and length not exceeding 7 feet are available in the market?

    My budget will be around $100 to Max $150 for the rod as I will doing a 1 day full popping for mainly the Giant Trevallies

    In that range I would probably look at the Ugly Stick or a Shimano Backbone. They are pretty hard to kill.

    Thanks clutter, but was wondering whether it could withstand the harsh bashing of the G.T'S weighing on average say..............30kg??????

    Get one in the 10-15kg range and I can't see why it wouldn't hold up.
