    Shimano Bantam 50

    Hiya there peeps, just wondering if anyone can help me??? I have been offered a brand new Shimano Bantam 50 baitcaster for $50. The reel has been out of production for a number of years and this one was never used. Just wondering if anybody knows if they are a good fishing reel or not, and if the price offered is reasonable, thanx heaps appreciate anybody's comments.......Dave!!

    Reasonable sort of reel, especially at that price. You won't be able to get parts for it though unfortunately. We've caught barras, bass, flathead etc on it however it's casting ability is now limited, drag ordinary so we gave it to the five year old niece for winter whiting fishing.
