Grabbing a small window of opportunity
Awoke at 4am to rain and howling wind, rolled over and went back to sleep
Awoke at 5:30am no rain but windy.... Went and watched a replay of the footy for a while....hang on wind has died off.... bolt out to the shed, throw the yak on the ute and cruise down to Bells Creek. Unload the yak and on the water and 6:30am. Wind was light, rain squalls came through intermittantly. I stayed in tight to the mangroves as we did last weekend with Shagga and Dids. Felt a thud, raise the rod tip and there is some nice weight, have it half way in and dropped it http://www.############.com.au/forum...s/icon_sad.gif Kept at it for a while longer and same deal, thud, lift, nice bit of weight..... it gets in close to the yak and doesn't like the look of me so off it goes peeling line off the 6lb Nanofil... http://www.############.com.au/forum...on_biggrin.gif
Got one other around 40cm 20 mins later
Wind came up and it got uncomfortable so headed in at 9am. Not a bad little session in between scuds!!

Re: Grabbing a small window of opportunity
Great work Funchy, it's good to see the increase of activity around the place. As per usual some pretty good photo shots to go with it too.
