Is anyone using Sharkshield while deepwater line fishing?

Just read fish tragic 's post in saltwater chat re using a Sharkshield to get fish up without being grabbed by sharks.
I am growing weary of hooking 20 large mouth nannygai and bring home 5 ! Most fishos are complaining about ever increasing shark numbers taking fish. They were called the tax man but now they are taking the whole pay packet! A lot of debate and opinion is happening as to why there are so many and why it's so widespread.
I'm not asking for opinions only on whether Sharkshields will work in this situation, but if you have or know someone who has used one with any reportable success or failure.

I'm searching for solutions because I'm sick of tethering good fish so sharks can get a free feed!
