well..
the 7408 does have a simpler interface and as such works very fast
the carbon with its new boost in processing is closer... not quite faster but close
the sonar is pretty much on par with garmins offering now
so..... depends..... the garmin wins on sonar a bit...
but a bit more bang for buck with lowrance.
but the benefit of the buttons and a few other things coming lowrance way does appeal
