Brisbane fly fishing club - First Meeting 18th November

Well it's all systems go. The first meeting is confirmed for Wednesday 18th November starting at 18:30. Venue is:

Wests Rugby Club
Memorial Park (off Sylvan Rd), Toowong 4064 - See map below

There is no fixed programme for the evening, it is really a meet and greet at this stage, and a place for flyfishers to get together and talk about our favourite passtime. We hope to have some fly tying demos set up, and everyone is encouraged to bring something along, be it a fly, an idea, a rod to cast, a trip report, anything. Come along and ask questions and mingle. There will be a comments box as well where people can put down their thoughts on what they would like for the next meeting.

There will be food available for those that wish to have dinner as well, the options at this stage are:

* Roast of the day - $13:00
* Steak sandwich and chips - $8.50
* Fish, Chips and salad - $7.50
* Hamburger and chips - $6.50
* Hot Dog and Chips - $5.50

Those of you interested in having dinner please RSVP your interest and dish of choice by Monday 16th to assist with catering to brisbaneffc@gmail.com. Needless to say the bar will also be open

As part of the process to ensure we have adequate insurance coverage for our activities, we will be encouraging people to become social members of the rugby club. More details on this to follow. Those that intend to join please be at the club by 18:30 as there will be a lady there specifically to sign people up.

So we hope to see as many people there as possible, success of the club depends solely from those that attend. The more the merrier!
