Brisbane Fly Fishing Club-next meeting 17th March

Next meeting is confirmed for Wednesday 17th March starting at 18:30. Venue is:

Wests Rugby Club
Memorial Park (Off Sylvan Rd), Toowong 4064

The topic of the night will be:

Specialist fly casting techniques

Nial Logan has kindly offered to help fine tune (or at least get the motor running in some cases) our casting. In particular, employing casts in difficult situations or where a standard cast is not possible.

For those who don't know Nail he is an internationally recognised FFF accredited casting instructor, with a wealth of knowledge gained through spending many years in remote areas of northern Queensland. His particular skill is sight casting to fish from the shore, beach or boat.

The session will kick off at 19:30 which will allow time for dinner beforehand for those that wish to do so. As per the last meet there will be food available and the options are:

* Roast of the day - $13:00
* Steak sandwich and chips - $8.50
* Fish, Chips and salad - $7.50
* Hamburger and chips - $6.50
* Hot Dog and Chips - $5.50

Those of you interested in having dinner please RSVP your interest and dish of choice to brisbaneffc@gmail.com by Tuesday 16th to assist with catering. It's good value and a good way to socialise and also helps to make us welcome at the venue. Needless to say the bar will also be open.
