Attachment 113148Made the call last week to fish the fantastic sea conditions we are having . My son Angus and I hit the Mooloolaba ramp at 3 am to head out to the banks.First bait hit the water at 5 am with an immediate run , first fish a nice 40cm red throat , then the floater goes off and bricks me. After this there was constant fish coming on board most were just undersize with the odd keeper. By 10am we had a mixed bag with a few good snapper on board. An unexpected changed came about with large swell and 15 to 20knot winds , just before I made the call I dropped the last bait as you do with a nice size Coronation trout , first keeper of this species out at the banks for me.
Trip in was slow going against the swell was a milk pond once we got in close.
Cheers Mick
