  1. Is your beacon (EPIRB) registration sticker due to expire?

    It's coming on to 5+ years since the change over of the old analogue to digital 406MHz EPIRBs were introduced into Australia, so there are two things to keep in mind.

    One, the battery expiry date - is it current and if not dispose the EPIRB at Battery World and get a new one or get the battery replaced.
    Two, check your registration sticker and get the information on AMSA's database updated - it's FREE. Register here

    In summary the answer is simple... GPS. Just ask yourself as the skipper - How long do you want your crew and kids floating in the water wanting to found.
