Hi all
just setting up a set of poles
what is the normal position of the poles
angle, basicly the height from the water.
tip of pole in relation to back of boat
the reason i am asking is i brought the poles and am making the base

Just this very day bought a set of Reelax poles and bases. The location of the bases ie on a hardtop, side supports, gunwhales etc etc, boat material and the shape of the bases will all have a large bearing on where and how you mount them and what angles that allows you to get.

Get them mounted high so your lures work better and angled back so that the tips are level with the transom so when you do tight turns your tangles will be minimised. Strength etc. issues also come into it as there are some large stresses involved.
