TX Live Fibre braid, new product, I have 50lbs smoke on a tld 25 and 15 lbs green on bait runner for bay, most impressed with feel and knot strength, very thin for class, pre stretched to braking strain before woven so I am told.

Slyham775,

I think it is very hard to go past platypus superbraid or bionic for your general fishing, (20lb). as for your jigging line i recently purchased some daiwa pe sensorbraid which they make in 40,60&80lb and i can not fault the product at all. it is super supple and knots tie beautiful in it. it also has the bonus of changing colour every 10 meters whitch helps u no what depth ur jig is at. good luck with what u go for!

Go for Fins, Bionic or Platil Millenium. Have had excellent results with all of these.

Jeez there's about 50 different brands of braid mentioned there. Too mention one that's not up there, Tuff line hasn't let me down before.

G'day all
If my memory serves me correct, there are only a handfull of braid manufacturers in the world(its an involved process),of which the very best are Japanese and they keep their best braids for their own(yamatoyo,Daiwa etc)and the rest end up with other brands on them .In saying that if you stick to the major brands like Bionic,Fins,Penn etc you can't really go wrong(except for McCod,how's it turned out Les).
cheers
